GA X48T DQ6 vMOD LoadLine

GA X48T DQ6 vmod loadline calibration

this issue relates the bios's feature of loadline calibration doesn't work
with 9650 or other quadcore, gets a huge vdrooping after vdrop when cpu is loading

as picture, solder a pot between 2 points, gets 2.1~2.2k

after vmod, the vcore vbr is flat,

I'm using What You See Is What You Get to reply. I don't know if I'd get the same results using Discuz but I'll try it some time. Anyway, I really appreciate the posts about this GA-X48T-DQ6 motherboard. I want to get one if they are actually distributed by Gigabyte in the near future. I need to be aware of any "issues" or problems with the functionality of this board. I'm about to invest around $8000 in a system, and I'm trying to rsearch thoroughly before buying the components. I can actually read your post HiCookie. I STUDY your posts pictures and text! This will be my first computer and I want it to be able to function for both games and for development purposes. This Gigabyte motherboard has features I like (like the eSATA ports, 1600MHz fsb, and support for up to 1900 MHz memory). I welcome advice!

I really believe this is a great motherboard, and unless you know of a comparable motherboard with 3 PCIe 2.0 buses or slots, then I'd like this board. Next obstacle is when and where to purchase one. The BIOS upgrade info satisfies me as a solution for the vdrooping problem. Would you recommend this board HiCookie? Do you like the performance. I'll (eventually) be using the QX9770 and 2 ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 in CrossFire when, of course, the X2 cards become available. Patience is a virtue! But I WANT IT ALL NOW!!!

If I had a wife, I seriously doubt I'd have a wallet! Don't wives confiscate those items...along with all cash included? $8000 is what I have allocated though, if necessary, I can allocate more towards this project. I'm not looking to spend needlessly, neither am I intending to neglect locating best prices. But, I'm willing to pay whatever it takes to get my system. The $8000 will include the Office 2007 Pro, Nero 8 Ultra Edition, and other software I'd like to get. I'll need a good laserjet color printer, heck...I'll email you the list. Don't want to violate forum etiquite. Please notify me if you hear of where I might get this motherboard and the QX9770 (and the ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 graphics cards).

These are the components I want:
MB: Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6, CPU: QX9770, PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower 1000W WO1055, VGA: 2 ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 in CrossFire, RAM: 4GB (2 kits) Corsair DominatorTWIN3X20 ...

im not sure if x48chipset can wrok d3-1800 4GB,as i know overall mobo makers only gurantee 1600mhz for 4GB
why not go for ddr2-8GB? (DDR2-800 to 1066) though the speed not faster than ddr3,but u got large capacity of memory
useful for ur vista, and how about fast scsi harddrive or TB harddrives ,denpend on what u prepare to work?but i think u do right choice
large TB harddrives, the powersupplycan drive all ur system hardwares.but i prefer sliverstone's next model of 1250w.
duno if u need 2 mointors? time2 resolution for work?lol. look ur buliding ur home office , haha., many things need to consider.

The Hitachi Deskstar hard drives I plan to use are 1TB each...I'll install 4 of them. I'll check out the DDR2 memory, and, of course, the 1200W Silverstone PSU. Funny, that you should recommend the Silverstone...that was my choice initially. I was going to use the 1000W Silverstone. I'll check out the 1200W and see how many PCIe 8 pin connectors it has. I honestly need only two...one for each of my graphics cards in the PCIe 2.0 slots. I'll research the RAM now to see what manufacturer makes good DDR2. The Vista Ultimate 64 bit version will support 8 GB. I want the DDR3 speed, but I don't know how they translate into real performance. I read recently that the DDR2 800 MHz allows for full potential with the CPU...something about the 1066 MHz being asyncronous, but the 800 MHz worked in sync with the CPU speed. Time to conduct further research! Thank you HiCookie.
Oh, and by the way, I am setting my system up for my home office. But I want it to be able to function as one hellacious, screeeeeaming fast gaming system as well.
