【開箱簡測】不需Raid卡也有Raid功能的 ICY Dock MB992SKR-B 實測(圖多，不喜勿入)
ToughArmor在ICY DOCK公司產品線內多半是客訂量產，主因於其強調堅固的外接盒設計可承受重壓並保護安裝於其內的儲存裝置。現在它推出
一款新的2.5吋儲存裝置雙層Raid功能產品，僅需一個3.5吋機殼安裝空
間，就可以安裝兩顆HDD/SSD並擁有Raid功能，並不需要再額外安裝Raid
卡，看來產品訴求的定位處蠻明顯的。

外紙盒採環保紙盒，左上方載明它為ToughArmor系列產品，右上方標明
了產品型號為MB992SKR-B，中間部分印著採EZ-Lock設計及支援BIG、
JBOD、Raid 0及Raid 1功能，左下角印著不少產品特色圖示。若想要使
用JBOD模式，需要您的SATA控制卡或控制晶片具備Port multiplier(PM)
功能才可以完整辨識及使用兩顆HDD/SSD。

簡單的測試到此為止，繁複的數據應該會讓人眼花。總結上述的
測試，作個簡單的結論：
優點
1. 內建硬體Raid晶片，不需透過額外擴充卡即可輕鬆達到彈性使用模式。
2. 循序讀寫傳輸率相對穩定，蠻適合需要大量線性影音編輯者使用。
3. 僅需一條SATA線及SATA電源就可以安裝，不需佔用過多資源。
4. 堅固的外殼設計，只需要一個3.5吋前面板空間就可以安裝兩顆HDD/SSD使用。
缺點
1. 根據原廠資料 RAID模式不建議使用者頻繁切換、並避免誤撥等原因，故未設計
於前方，倘若DIP指撥開關擺設位置若能移至前面板，對追求方便的User而言，
使用上的彈性將更便利。
2. 因產品高度限制，無法支援2顆9.5mm以上HDD，目前2.5吋2TB容量的HDD不能安
裝，似乎只能等待SSD大容量普及化才能擴大使用容量。
以上不專業之簡單測試到此結束，下台一鞠躬，一切的批評希望廠商能
見諒，本文不作筆戰用，若有指教歡迎大家一起來討論。
