NVIDIA GeForce驅動禁止使用到數據中心上
當一個市場被一家企業主導的時候會發生什麼？這家企業顯然會採取各種措施獲取盡可能多的利潤。NVIDIA 的GPU 被廣泛用於AI 領域，被用於加速Datacenter。它的消費者級顯示卡GeForce 和企業級顯示卡如Quadro 和Tesla 架構相似，但價格天上地下，因此可能會有企業將消費級顯示卡用於AI 應用部署到Datacenter。但現在NVIDIA被發現更新了它的GeForce驅動許可證，禁止將其部署到Datacenter。許可證2.1.3條款規定，“No Datacenter Deployment. The SOFTWARE is not licensed for datacenter deployment, except that blockchain processing in a datacenter is permitted.”
