First time try i7 975 on EX58 UD5
its been a long time busy and no time for benching.on the friday, i got a new 975 sample, its D0 stepping,
i already watch some D0 of 965 has very decent overclocking results
and i done some brief benching with my hand core i 7 975 with
GIGABYTE EX58 UD5. im sure not far as you guys will bench 5.3GHz
in 3Dmark.
here is my set
CPU, core i7 975 early sample
M/B, GIGABYTE EX58 UD5 , bios is F6e
RAM, Kingston PC16000 1.65v 3CH
VGA, GIGABYTE HD 4870X2 CFX enabled
PSU, Enermax 1050+
OS, Win 7 beta build 7000 32 bit
ATI Catalyst 9.3
warm up for 8 threads in 3dmark06 5.28GHz

actually, i have tried 4 times at 5280MHz of 975 , always die at GT4.
i m sure could finish at 5280MHz in the furture.
okay, so i drop to 5180MHz 8thread for 3dmark06 and GPU is 790/1000

a quick run 5148Mhz for vantage CPU test, over 31K of CPU score, looks nice also.

i think D0 is very promised, no matter 976 or 965
