【開箱簡測】Seagate IronWolf Pro 更新版 20TB (ST20000NT001) NAS (那嘶狼) 硬碟效能簡測 (圖多)
約半年前測試過那嘶狼20TB版本時，讓人使用後的印象還不錯(有興趣的人可以搜尋板內之前的發文)；沒想到過不到半年時光，那嘶狼推出
更新的版本，國外有些網友的影音說明還直接把它稱呼為那嘶狼v2.0。
Seagate IronWolf這條產品線推廣也很多年，從早期的IronWolf到後
來新增IronWolf Pro兩條產品線並存。最大的差別除了擴充能力外，
最重要的是產品的保固條件。對於大多數家用或中小企業者而言，也
許不需要用到資料中心等級產品，IronWolf Pro適時地填補這需求。
目前國內電商可購得的IronWolf Pro的容量還是為從4TB到20TB都有，
只是兩大電商的產品規格表的型號有所出入，有的還是貼舊版的，另
一家電商則是貼出正確的型號(STxxxxNT001)，因此消費者在選購時
可能要留意買到的是新版還是舊版型號。新版本除了維持先前的五年保
固外，也同樣維持採用CMR磁記錄技術，實在是不愛用SMR技術硬碟的
使用者可以考慮選購的產品之一。

IronWolf Pro在10TB以上容量全都採用氦氣封裝以降低運轉功耗，針
對NAS環境提供了獨家AgileArray技術，在效能及穩定性取得平衡並搭
配獨RV旋轉震動感應技術，降低多碟同時使用的共振。

與Seagate其它產品線或其它競爭品牌相比，提供IronWolf Health
Management (健康管理系統)及Rescue Data Recovery Services (資
料救援服務)是其專屬的特色。透過與其它廠商的協作，讓IronWolf
Pro在NAS外接盒搭配使用時，很多品牌的廠商可以直接監控硬碟的健
康度，方便消費者提早因應之。此外，IronWolf Pro的三年資料救援
服務，其實是個很棒的額外服務。一般市面上的硬碟救援隨著容量愈大
而所費不貲，原廠直接提供這方面的服務又不額外收費，真該給它拍拍手。

此外，可以發現到新版本與舊版本IronWolf Pro的差異在於機槽使用
數量及工作負載量，新版本不再有限制最大機槽使用量，工作負載也
提升到550TB，其差異已與最高階企業版Exos系列沒什麼差別。

官方的使用手冊，可以看到是今年一月才編撰出版，同樣採取512E標準
檔案格式，以維持最大的相容性。

官方使用手冊對於IronWolf Pro的基本特徵再敘述一次，維持支援著
PowerChoice這省電的功能，快取記憶體最高可達512MB，這應該是該
公司硬碟機產品近期少見的規格升級。

20TB容量的新款型號仍維持256MB的快取記憶體。單碟密度2470KBPI，
換算約2TB，與Exos X20一樣，IronWolf Pro 20TB採用10碟片封裝、
20組讀寫頭的設計，延遲率與Exos X20一樣。22TB容量採10碟片封裝、
20組讀寫頭的設計，不同的是單碟密度提升至2.2TB，期待以後有機會
可以玩玩。

20TB新版的工作負載拉高至550TB，MTBF時數也拉高至250萬小時，這
方面也顯示了Seagate對自家IronWolf PRO品質的信心，也是目前全
球三大硬碟廠的NAS碟保固量最大的，其它競爭者的工作負載仍維持在
180~300TB。

連續傳輸率最高達285MB/s，是目前三大硬碟廠NAS硬碟機傳輸率規格
最高者。而22TB容量目前只有WD Red PRO有推出對應的容量，但是最
高傳輸率遠輸於IronWolf PRO。

硬碟正面標籤採用IronWolf系列的黑紅色底，搭配Seagate LOGO，其實
蠻醒目的，與舊版不同的是，配色系在新版中拿掉了綠色系，完全回歸黑
紅色系，也似乎宣告NAS硬碟機產品線似乎將脫離Exos的基底。產品型號
為ST20000NT001，泰國廠製造，資料救援計畫的標示大大的印在上面，
新版只標式為AF SATA，終於更正了舊版標籤標示錯誤的問題。

硬碟底部十分的平整，說真的，這方面似乎是Seagate的強項，其它的
Toshiba或WD/HGST都沒法作到這樣。電路控制板下方還包覆著緩衝設
計，整個電路板與Exos相比，真的比較迷你些。

接頭處也是標準的SATA電源及資料接頭，旁邊應該是工程用PIN腳。因
為不想破壞保固，就不拆下電路板研究。

測試至此，作個簡單的測試結論：
優點
1. 大檔的連續傳輸效能與舊版差異不大，部分短程軟體測試循序讀取或寫入速率超過官方標示值。
2. 首款單碟2TB容量規格的NAS硬碟，除了是CMR技術外還提供健康監控功能。
3. 工作負載提升至550TB，是目前市售NAS碟最高，原廠亦提供五年保固。
4. 提供3年的資料救援服務，這是它牌NAS硬碟所沒有的。
5. 最高運作溫度還算可以接受，多碟環境的溫度應也還算合宜。
6. 循序讀寫時的讀寫臂運轉聲音還算小聲(個人感受)。
缺點
1. 4K讀/寫速率相對於自家企業碟還是略慢些，或許是產品線的區隔差異性。
2. 密集的4K讀寫時還可以聽到略大聲的讀寫臂運作聲音，音量感受因人而異。
3. 多個測試軟體中還是無法達到官方標示的低延遲值。
4. 若能將資料救援服務提升至與保固期同等的5年，感覺對於購買來當NAS更有保障。
期待未來可以看到22TB容量的IronWolf PRO上市。
