Intel否認Extreme Edition處理器被砍：品牌沒有變化

本周有Intel前員工在推特爆料稱，Intel將砍掉Extreme Editon處理器這個品牌。

消息傳開後，Intel方面也給出了官方回應稱“ There is no change to the branding of the Intel Core Extreme Edition processor and Intel Core X-series processor family（Intel Core Extreme Edition處理器和Core X處理器家族沒有品牌方面的變化）”。

所謂Extreme Edition，近些年主要出現在發燒平台HEDT的頂級型號上，在去年Intel發布Core X後，i9-7980XE依然冠之以i9-7980XE處理器的稱號。向前推的話，更是有i7-6950X/5960X處理器等等。
