NVIDIA 遭裁罰 550 萬美元，因未明確公開挖礦所帶來的不穩定性 GPU 銷售成長

美國證券交易委員會 (SEC) 調查發現 NVIDIA 在 2017 年時因為挖礦對於 GPU 的需求提高，但未明確告知股東這項顯著增長的收益，是由不穩定的挖礦、搶卡所造成的現象，進行裁罰。

SEC 申明中提到：「failed to disclose that cryptomining was a significant element of its material revenue growth from the sale of its graphics processing units (GPUs) designed and marketed for gaming.」。

就是收益增長的情況下，未明確告知是因為加密貨幣的挖礦熱潮所導致，因此由 SEC 裁罰 NVIDIA 需要支付 550 萬美元的罰款。

不過有趣的是 NVIDIA 並不承認 SEC 的調查結果但會支付 550 萬美元的罰款，以避免 SEC 做出更嚴厲的裁決與更高的罰款。
