[DD] Monitor prices to increase in April

In order to cover rising quotes for monitor panels in April this year, monitor vendors are planning to increase their ASPs (average selling prices), according to sources at monitor vendors.

With current 5G lines at packed production capacity and with no extra capacity coming online, widescreen monitor panel quotes are expected to see an average increase of US$2-5 in April, noted the sources.

Monitor vendors are panning to increase their ASPs by NT$100-200 (US$3.32-6.64) to preserve their profit margins. Some vendors have already pre-booked panel shipments all the way to September to prevent being hit by a supply shortage, the sources added.
