[DD] TwinMOS to shutter business due to dropping DRAM pricing

Taiwan-based DRAM module maker TwinMOS Technologies is reportedly to close down its business on April 15.
TwinMOS has searched for opportunities towards acquisition and has tried to reorganize its operational structure, however, the continuing DRAM price drops are forcing the company to shut down the business.
Most of TwinMOS' employees have already switched to work for NAND Flash module maker Silicon-Power Computer.
Although the scale of investment to establish a memory module plant is not huge, ongoing operational upkeep needs large amounts of cash. With the DRAM industry in a slump, the battle is on to see how many more companies fall, commented industry watchers.
